May 10, 1969 Epsilon Rho was founded on the campus of Western Kentucky University. This was just the beginning of a beautiful and everlasting tradition to be started on this predominately white campus. The first line was called the Nasty Nineteen, and they paved the way for the brothers today to achieve in this illustrious organization. The first Polemarch of Epsilon Rho was Brother Howard Bailey who is now the Vice President of Student Affairs. Since the chapter's beginning, Epsilon Rho has become a pillar of strength and resiliency at Western Kentucky. The chapter has been a forerunner in civic activities, social functions, and in academics. The chapter has produced several lawyers, doctors, administrators, journalist, and educators. Once of the chapter's biggest moments came in 1982 when Brother Thomas George was awarded the coveted Guy Levis Grant award for his undergraduate work. That same year the chapter was bestowed another laurel when we were selected as the best chapter in the South Central Province. This chapter has long, but rich past. At Epsilon Rho, our goal is to continue striving for Achievement in excellence.
